The Navy Operational Ocean Models are listed across the top of the table. Model capabilities are listed down the left side of the table. More information may be found by mousing over a given colored box, and even more information may be found if indicated, by clicking on the box. Green means that a given model has the listed capability, whereas red means that it does not. Yellow means that a given model may or may not include that capability, or that the answer is equivocal and the background notes should be viewed. In all cases, the coloring is assigned based on how the model is implemented by FNMOC or NAVO as of December 2002. Keep in mind that other versions or implementations of a model may include capabilities not currently being utilized in the Navy operational version. Therefore this table should be viewed as something that may change over time.

* NCOM is not yet operational, colors are based on the global implementation being run at NRL in preparation for transition to NAVO.
