Indeed the ADCP mesaurements across the Malvinas would be a great addition to future surveys. The results obtained by Saunders and King (1995, JPO, 25, 329-347) from their WOCE A11 crossing at 45S were impressive. Also Christine Provost will deploy 3 CM moorings and a yo-yo profiler down the slope at 41S. The latter, to be located at the T/P cross-over near 41S-55W T/P26-T/P163), perhaps will include a lowered ADCP, but I'm not sure. However, its location near the 4000 m isobath might be a bit too far down the slope to catch the current core.
