Carlos,
As far as I know, the IES data presented here (from Bianchi & Garzoli, 1997) has not been analyzed in connection to wave propagation characteristics. However, B&G found that cross-slope T-500 fluctuations near 38S were significantly correlated at 20-30 day lags. They speculated that northward pulses of the Malvinas Current enhanced the baroclinicity of the BMC, which presumably lead to a southward penetration of the front.
