Isobaric RAFOS floats have been used in the Lagrangian Acoustic Subsurface Technology (L.A.S.T.) Laboratory at the Naval Postgraduate School to track the California Undercurrent and to investigate its continuity since 1992.
Here we present
- References for the papers published to this point.
- The data collected so far: 61 quasi-Lagrangian subsurface trajectories sampled for the most part between 150 and 600 m.
This data inventory contains information on float characteristics, description of float performance with some illustrations, and provides the opportunity to download available float data as Microsoft Office Excel Comma Separated Values files.
- Graphical User Interface developed to provide access to this data set for viewing and interactive manipulation of the data.
- Brief overview of experimental results, including charts of trajectories, means and variance ellipses, eddy statistics and some animations.
