Final Presentation Assignment-OC4331, Spring 96

List of Papers, Students, and Dates

Order of Presentation and Dates

Instructions

Your final project will consist of an in-class presentation on one of the topics we have already discussed during the quarter. The dual goals of the presentations are to: 1) provide a more in-depth account of several of the processes outlined during the course and 2) to improve/test your ability to organize a short presentation for maximum effectiveness. Some of the important ground rules are given below:
  1. All presentation will take place between 30 May and 13 June 1996. 2 Presentations/class period; Random drawing for the order of presentations

  2. Each presentation should be planned for 15-20 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions. Practice talks ahead of time! Do not attempt to say more than will fit in the time frame.

  3. Each presentation should be based on the major observations and conclusions from one or two research articles.

  4. Each presentation must clearly describe the connection to earlier discussions during the quarter in the beginning of the talk. Introduce your presentation by stating which prior discussion topic it will address.

  5. Each presentation will be graded on both organization and content.

  6. All presentations should be attended by all course participants. Attendance will count toward individual presentation grades.

The journal articles below available for final presentations. You are not free to choose papers from outside this list without prior consultation of the instructor. The list will grow through the end of the course.
