The float was launched in a triad with NPS#62 and NPS#65 along the coast approximately above the 1500-m isobath (Figure 2), about 40 km off the shore between 34.5° and 36° N. The distances between the points were ~ 70 and 130 km.
The float was entrained by the undercurrent immediately after launch and moved alongshore till the end of the mission (Figure 1).
The float was ballasted for 275 dbar but the real pressure wavered between ~360 and ~400 dbar (Figure 3 ).
The float was recovered at 45° 42.88'N, 125° 32.46'W on July 14, 1999 at10:37am PDT, F/V Edgar A (capt. Glem Grochowski).
