The float was launched in a triad with NPS#48 and NPS#50 along a hardly curved arc off the coast between Point Lobos and Point Sur at a distance 12 and 24 km, respectively. The distance between the launch points was about 27 km (Figure 1).
Positions records are available for 8 days only (Figure 2) with pressure and temperature measurements saved for 208 days of the subsurface mission.
The float was ballasted for 275 dbar but the real depth reached by the float was 466.8 ± 33.7 (days 1-44), 378.5 ± 27.2 (days 53-127) (Figure 3). Then the float sank below 1000 dbar and bailed out early after sinking.
