The float was launched in a triad with NPS#9 and NPS#14 about 100 km southwest of San Francisco (Figure 2). The floats in the triad were launched in a nearly equilateral triangular pattern with a side of about 8 km. Two floats in the triad were situated approximately above the 1500-m isobath, about 50 km from Point Arena, while the third was launched at the offshore apex of the triangle.
The float mission was unsuccessful: there are no position records after first two days. (Figure 1, Figure 2). The float seems to fail completely on day-39 (Figure 3).
