Description:

Abstract:

This dataset shows the municipal boundaries on Guam and provides information to the 2000 and 2010 total population numbers by municipality population, percent change between 2000 and 2010 census numbers, and population density. Census data was obtained form the 2000 and 2010 U.S. Census, municipal boundaries provided by the Bureau of Statistics and Plans (BSP), Government of Guam.

Purpose: To show population density.

Use_Constraints: For planning purposes only, not for use in litigation!

Obtained the municipality shapefile from the Bureau of Statistics and Plans (07_municipalities), added extra text fields called 2000 and the 2010 population and Percent Change. Populated the fields with numbers from the BSP website: <http://www.bsp.guam.gov/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=130&Itemid=100008>. (Source: U.S. Census).
