Abstract:: Soils map of Tutuila Island, American Samoa, converted from ASD62 Stateplane to ASD62 Geographic to NAD83 Geographic and finally to WGS84 UTM Zone 2 South. Acquired from Pederson (private consultant), but Pederson did not provide any information on source of data or process to create data.

Original work completed by consultant: Pederson. Possibly taken from USGS tif image and American Samoa Atlas .TIF files. Converted from ASD62 stateplane to geographical coordinates using ArcView Projector! extension, datum transformed from ASD62 to NAD83 using the ShapeNADCON extension, and then projected into UTM Zone 2 South in the WGS84 datum using ArcToolbox 8.1. Process steps outlined in the "Procedure for Projecting and Transforming American Samoa GIS Data from Stateplane ASD62 to UTM WGS84" from the Department of Commerce, American Samoa Government.
