NPS PUV Data from NCEX Experiment, 2003

nps_puv.tar = tarred, gzipped compilation of all puv*.txt data files
              (described below) for easier simultaneous download.
              (To extract files, use "tar xzvf nps_puv.tar" in unix/linux
              or WinZip/other compression utility in Windows/Mac.)

puv*.txt = NPS PUV data files.
           Filename syntax:  puv[NN]_[yearday].txt
                [NN] = puv number (3-13); for locations, see the file
                       "ncex_locations_nps_metadata.txt" 
           [yearday] = Julian yearday of data (Pacific Std Time, 2003); 
                       each file contains one full day of 1 Hz data for puv NN.
                      
Each text file contains 3,4,or 6 columns arranged as follows:

   Files with 3 columns:
        Column            Data
          1               Times (yearday, Pacific Std Time, 2003)
          2               Paroscientific pressure data (mbar, abs) 
          3               Paroscientific temperature data (deg C)
          
   Files with 4 columns:
        Column            Data
          1               Times (yearday, Pacific Std Time, 2003)
          2               Cross-shore velocity (m/s, positive onshore)
          3               Alongshore velocity (m/s, positive northward)
          4               Kulite strain gauge pressure data (mbar, abs)
          
   Files with 6 columns:
        Column            Data
          1               Times (yearday, Pacific Std Time, 2003)
          2               Cross-shore velocity (m/s, positive onshore)
          3               Alongshore velocity (m/s, positive northward)
          4               Kulite strain gauge pressure data (mbar, abs)
          5               Paroscientific pressure data (mbar, abs) 
          6               Paroscientific temperature data (deg C)
