Dear Bruce Howe,
: I was surprised to see no mention of the Oyashio and its possible influence
: on the Kuroshio Extension, bifurcation, etc.
I just answer this in the previous question to Randy Watts.
: The transport by any measure decreases as one goes eastward - where does it go?
: Into the recirculaiton, into the interior gyre, ...?
I would say that the main part into the recirculation. I would like to ask Bo Qiu his comment about the missed 3 Sv near 160E and the 12 Sv near 170E going into the recirculation.
Thank you!
Susana.
