I used Godin filer to remove the ageostrophic component from the raw data, because my research in this web-poster is only about the Kuroshio geostrophic flow.
The mean kinetic energy of ageostrophic, frequencies higher than 0.5 cpd, is less than 1/10 of the total kinetic current energy in the Kuroshio main flow region. Also there is a significant characteristic that the high frequencies around the inertial frequency increase in offshoreward.
